Amanda Abbington, 52, gave some fans more than they bargained for in some moments made during her first TV appearance since leaving Strictly Come Dancing – a British dance contest show.

‘Welcome-back’ Amanda is back to TV in the Dave mockumentary series Meet The Richardsons, where she displayed an exaggerated version of herself in episode seven of the fifth series.

What Happened?

In the episode, Lucy Beaumont, fresh from a BAFTA Awards nomination, recruits Amanda for a role in her film project, but things take a dramatic turn.

During an outdoor scene, Lucy praises Amanda by saying: ”I never thought you’d do it you know. You’re Amanda Abbington! You’re so lovely everyone said how lovely you are.’

Fan Asked, ‘Can I Get a Photo?’

But the atmosphere takes a turn when a fan approaches Amanda for a selfie, asking: ‘I loved you in Sherlock! Can I get a photo?’

The Sherlock star firmly responds with a sharp ‘no’ before telling Lucy: ‘F*****g Sherlock, f*****g fans are the f*****g worst.’

Mocking an excited fan, Amanda said: ”You want get a selfie” oh shut up, t**t!’ leaving Lucy visibly uncomfortable.

Later in the episode, Amanda was approached by another eager fan, sparking yet another furious reaction.

They asked: ‘Aren’t you in Sherlock? Can I get a selfie?’ leading the actress to furiously pull the phone out of their hand and throw it, shouting: ‘No you can’t get a f*****g selfie you stupid Sherlock.’

Why Amanda Quit Strictly Come Dancing?

Remembered that Amanda quit the BBC show mid-series last year due to ‘personal reasons’ amid claims of a feud between her and her professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice??!

Following her Strictly exit, reports surfaced that Amanda had demanded footage of their rehearsals after the experience in the competition left her with PTSD.

Amanda accuses Giovanni of being ‘abrasive’ with his partners and reducing some to tears.
