Joe Dix, 18, a member of Norwich’s notorious 3rdside crew, was stabbed to death in the Norfolk city by members of rival gang Only The Money when he went to help a drug dealer they were robbing.
His friend, Alfie Hammett who is a believer of ‘an eye for an eye’ to revenge the murder of his friend by killing Ray Quigley in front of sickened shoppers in broad daylight in retaliation.
A Friend Indeed?!
Prior to his crime, he has been sympathizing with the parents of his murdered friend, sending to them messages of ‘thinking of you’.
Joe’s parents, Emma and Phil, explained how Hammett often sent sympathetic messages, without realising he was a fellow gang member.
Mrs Dix, 47, said: ‘He [Hammett] was one of Joe’s mates. We were aware of who he was and what he looked like.
‘He was one of the ones who went to Joe’s funeral and he used to message us, saying ‘I’m gutted for you’.

Court Ruling
Quigley, 18, had been linked to OTM after attending the Dix murder trial in support of three of his friends who were in the dock.
Hammett was jailed for 24 years last week. Accomplice Joshua Howell, who was 17 at the time of the murder, received 20 years.
