Queen Letizia, reigning monarch of Spain, effortlessly embodies the epitome of wedding guest style. In a series of unearthed photographs from 2011, the Spanish Queen, then 51, graced the scene in London, resembling a vision straight out of a fairytale.
Accompanied by her husband and mother-in-law, Queen Sofia, Princess Letizia attended Prince William and Princess Kate’s pre-wedding soirée at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on the eve of their 2011 nuptials.
Letizia captivated onlookers in a mesmerizing mauve ballgown featuring a sweetheart neckline and a voluminous skirt. The gown’s exquisite bodice boasted intricate floral beading and embroidery that cascaded effortlessly down the skirt. A delicate organza overlay added further dimension, enhancing the overall fairytale allure of her ensemble.
She appeared remarkably different from her current dark brunette bob hairstyle. Instead, the royal sported caramel and blonde highlights, with her hair elegantly styled in a low bun at the nape of her neck, complemented by a deep side part. To complement her ensemble, King Felipe’s wife adorned herself with dainty drop diamond earrings and carried a satin clutch in a matching mauve hue to her gown.
Queen Sofia graced the occasion in an organza ballgown featuring a full skirt adorned with teal embroidery against a chocolate brown backdrop. Meanwhile, King Felipe cut a dashing figure in classic black tie attire.
FYI: There were arrays of glittering royals at the event.
