Princess Kate Refuses Assistance At Home And Insists On Personally Cooking For George, Charlotte, And Louis During Her Recovery From Surgery

The Princess of Wales’ withdrawal from public view due to her scheduled abdominal surgery has sparked considerable speculation among royal observers, with various conspiracy theories circulating online about her condition.

Speculation heightened following Kensington Palace’s release of an edited photo of the royal with her three children on Mother’s Day, for which Kate later issued an apology.

However, a recent report from The Times discloses that insiders close to the family have witnessed Kate’s presence at her children’s school in recent weeks.

“Kate has been at Lambrook to support the children,” reads the report, which also adds that Prince William cheered on his daughter, Princess Charlotte, at a football match on Thursday.

While the Princess of Wales has kept an incredibly low profile from the royal spotlight, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have remained her priority – with a particular effort made to keep up the family’s ‘normal routine’ at home.

Roya Nikkhah, Royal Editor for The Sunday Times, added: “After school, it is just the five of them at home, with Kate, rather than a cook or housekeeper, usually preparing dinner,” despite recovering from surgery.

In 2022, the Prince and Princess of Wales made a significant adjustment to their royal lifestyle by relocating from Kensington Palace to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor. Their decision aimed to provide their children with a more “normal” upbringing.

In this endeavor, Kate and William chose not to have Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, their former live-in nanny, move with them. Instead, they opted to raise their children independently, utilizing their four-bedroom country retreat as a sanctuary away from the bustling city life of London.

Although Prince William has confessed to lacking culinary prowess, Princess Kate has frequently expressed her love for cooking, preferring to prepare meals for her children herself rather than relying on a royal chef.

Whether it’s spicy curries or homemade pizzas, it’s evident that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and little Prince Louis relish their mother’s homemade dishes after a busy day at school.

The Princess of Wales previously told Mary Berry that her three kids actually really enjoy eating their greens. “We’ve got carrots, beans, beetroot – a massive favourite – Louis absolutely loves beetroot,” she told the former Great British Bake Off star.
