For the first time since his daughter-in-law Princess Kate’s announcement of her cancer treatment, King Charles has been spotted. This revelation came after she underwent significant abdominal surgery earlier this year, leading to the discovery of her condition.
The King, who is also battling cancer, was observed traveling from Windsor Castle to London in his car on Tuesday morning. This sighting occurred shortly after the monarch expressed his profound pride in his “beloved” daughter-in-law for her openness about her cancer diagnosis.
A spokesperson from Buckingham Palace emphasized His Majesty’s admiration for Catherine’s bravery in addressing her health situation. Both Charles and Camilla are committed to providing unwavering love and support to the entire family during this challenging period.
It is anticipated that King Charles will endeavor to attend the royal family’s customary Easter Sunday service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle alongside Queen Camilla.
Online Royal Correspondent Danielle Stacey says: “It’s understood that King Charles may attend a church service on Easter Sunday with a smaller royal turnout if his health allows it. Charles has minimised his contact with larger crowds to reduce risks as he continues his cancer treatment.”
She adds: “While we’ve seen the King conduct small audiences at Buckingham Palace, he’s not attended any large-scale gathering since his diagnosis, such as the reception for Korean War Veterans last week, the Commonwealth Day service and the memorial for the late King Constantine in Windsor last month.
“Behind-the-scenes, the King is very much continuing with working through his daily red boxes.”
