Katherine Ryan has revealed she’s unsure if her marriage to childhood sweetheart Bobby Kootstra will last, after claiming their relationship has ‘taken a back seat’.
The comedian, 40, who wed the hunk in 2019, said that while they are happy together now the future is incredibly unpredictable.
Telling The Sun: ‘We’ve only been married five years, but 50 years? I don’t know’.
‘Everyone’s happy after the first five whereas I’m more about, “Can we make it to 20 years and 40 years and 50 years?”‘.
Before cheekily adding: ‘It’s easy to love him, look how fit he is.’
How Did They Get Here?!
She went on to tell the publication how she and Bobby do not share a bed as she ‘co-sleeps’ with her youngest daughter, which had likely caused her relationship to ‘take a back seat’.
Katherine shares two children Fenna Grace, 14 months and Fred, two, with her partner as well as Violet 14, with ex-boyfriend Alex Edelman.
She previously told ITV’s Lorraine, while promoting new docu-series, Katherine Ryan: Parental Guidance: ‘I potty-trained [my children] really really young which was controversial, I carry them everywhere. Maybe my marriage takes a back seat because of the co-sleeping’.
What Bobby Thinks
During one episode of the series Bobby admitted: ‘I do kind of miss sleeping with my sexy wife. It’s probably not been great for intimacy’.
‘So we kind of are missing a couple of different important connections for any relationship really.’
During her ITV appearance Katherine went on to reveal her marriage was tested during filming the new series as her mother came over from Canada to live with the family.
She continued: ‘My mum came over from Canada and we saw what grandparent helping out is like.
‘I don’t know how great my mother living with us was for my husband but the kids were good with it.’
