George Gilbey’s Death: Man is ARRESTED on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter

Investigation to the death of ‘gentle’ Gogglebox star George Gilbey, who fell to his death from a warehouse rooftop Wednesday has led to the arrest of one man in his 40s.

The unidentified man got arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter in connection with the tragic incident. 

EmmanuelsBlog believe police must have found a strong case to arrest the alleged man, since the specifics of his accusation are not made public yet.

Police in a statement released on Thursday said: ‘As part of our ongoing investigation into the death of a man in Campfield Road, Shoebury on Wednesday 27 March, we have arrested a man in their 40s from the Witham area on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.

‘This is a joint investigation with the Health and Safety Executive and our enquiries are ongoing.’

The Death of George Gilbey

George, 40, who had been working at height died after plunging 35ft from the building in Shoebury, near Southend-on-Sea, Essex on Wednesday.

Efforts to resuscitate the former Celebrity Big Brother star proved abortive.

The father-of-one was working as an electrician and owned a firm called WindG Ltd installing electrical systems for domestic and commercial clients.
