Sheridan Smith has revealed she has been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
The actress, 42, candidly opened up about her diagnosis during an interview with Vogue and admitted it has ‘helped her make sense of a lot of things’ in her life.
What is ADHD?
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a condition that includes symptoms such as being restless and having trouble concentrating.
The mother-of-one finds herself constantly ‘overanalysing’ little things – as simple as answering WhatsApp group chats or overthinking what to say.
Sheridan, who also discussed how sometimes she can feel ‘useless’, revealed her ADHD diagnosis has helped conclude why she has a lot of ‘brain background noise’.

Sheridan shares a son Billy, three, with her ex fiancé Jamie Horn, 33, who she split with in 2021.
It comes after Sheridan revealed she believes her son Billy will follow in her footsteps and embark upon a career in acting.
The Cilla star said that while her little boy is already practising some techniques, she is not keen on the idea of him joining the entertainment industry.

But Billy’s father Jamie believes the toddler’s future lies with Arsenal as a footballer.
Mom’s Plan For Boy
The actress said: ‘I’m trying to make him do anything but act. I’m like ”Do not be an actor, son” but I don’t think I have much choice.
‘I mean since he couldn’t even talk, he used to pick up the remote control and be like ‘gagagagagagaga’ and pretend it was a phone and I was like “Oh my goodness, he’s going to be an actor”. ‘
She told Magic FM: ‘He’s such a little actor already. I caught him practising his sad face in the mirror the other day. He’s three. He was seeing how well it worked.’
‘I was like “You little cheeky monkey, you know that works on me as well”. So now I know I think he will be an actor.’

‘He had his little pyjamas on because he was asleep in my dressing room and I thought he’d panic with all the audience making all this noise but oh no, he loved it.
‘He did a bow. He was making everyone clap more. I mean, I couldn’t get him off the stage.
‘His dad wants him to play for Arsenal. We’ll see. Whatever he wants to do in life, he can do.’
Sheridan and Jamie were together for three years after they met on the dating app Tinder in 2018 and got engaged just three months later.
