Sharon Stone shared a rare snap of her eldest son Roan to social media this week
The actress, 65, who supported director Martin Scorsese when he received a prestigious award at the Berlin Film Festival recently, was every inch the proud mother as she posted a snap of her shirtless son, 23, flashing his bold tattoos.
‘Proud of you @roanjosephstone. Well done,’ she penned – without revealing what she was congratulating him on.
Roan shared a second photo on his own social media – a selfie from his bathroom.
Several fans pointed out Roan was wearing a Chai necklace.
According to the Israeli Center of Judaica, the Chai symbol ’emphasizes the significance of life in Judaism.’

A commenter pointed out, ‘Chai is the 18th letter of the Hebrew alphabet. Means “life” or “to life” (L’chaim).

The Casino actress adopted Roan with her ex-husband Phil Bronstein, 73 in 2000.
While the majority of comments on the post were supportive, some criticized the Golden Globe winner and her son for their what they considered their support of Israel in its war with Hamas.

Stone wept about the violence while showing off her artwork in October at an exhibit titled ‘Welcome To My Garden’ at the C. Parker Gallery in Greenwich, CT when she broke down in tears over one painting in particular inspired by her trip to Israel.
‘It’s just a very difficult moment,’ she told Extra at the time, referring to the Hamas October 7 attack on Israel and Israel’s heavy bombardment of Gaza in response.
‘I went to the Western Wall in Jerusalem,’ she continued, recalling her trip to Israel’s capital.
