HOLLYWOOD – Mark Wright hilariously joked that ‘he will fight’ wife Michelle Keegan for the next role in the Bond movie – after she was tipped to take the female lead.

The former TOWIE star, 37, quipped that his ‘dreams would be shattered’ if Michelle, 36, appeared in the movie before he had a chance too.

Some Words of Praise For Her Wife

During his Heart FM radio stint, the presenter spoke highly of his beloved wife Michelle, claiming she remains ‘so humble’ despite her hugely successful acting career.

He said: ‘She’s such a down to earth girl, never forgotten her roots. If she’s the next Bond girl, it would be totally weird if I’m bond. Maybe I’ll fight her for it. That is my dream shattered of being the next Bond himself.’

‘When she sits there and reads news that she is in the running to be the next Bond Girl, she’s like “Nah, no chance. I’m not having it”.

‘But then when you think about it, why not! They’ve put her in the mix with Jodie Comer, who also could be running for it as well, and in the past we’ve had Rosamund Pike, Monica Belluci, Halle Berry, just imagine if Michelle is the next Bond Girl!’

He added: ‘I don’t know if you get like this at work, you do something really good but you don’t realise that and your just modest and that’s what’s so good about the fact that she is like that, humble. And I absolutely love that, imagine that.’

Who Will Be the Next Bond Girl?

Following the hit success after staring in Netflix‘s Fool Me Once, Michelle is in the limelight to take the female lead in the next Bond movie.

Battling it out alongside Jodie Comer and Saoirse Ronan, the trio have been given the seal of approval by gambling experts to take on the huge part.

Fans Are Drumming Support For Her

Fans also gave their approval for Michelle as the next Bond girl, with some flooding Heart FM’s Instagram comments after Mark gave his thoughts.

Some wrote: ‘She would make a great bond girl. Her looks alone could kill x’

‘I thinks she totally could be and one id actually watch especially if she kept her northern accent.’

‘Yes, a very good Baddie Bond Girl’.
