Evil serial killer Levi who murdered 13-year-old girl calls wedding OFF after fiancée gets cold feet over taking monster’s name

PRISON LOVE – Evil serial killer Levi Bellfield has called off his wedding after his fiancee was reluctant to take the monster’s name.

As it is

The 55–year-old former wheel clamper, whose victims include Milly Dowler, 13, no longer wants to tie the knot – despite winning a legal fight allowing him to marry.

Why the ‘Call Off’

Sources say the wedding plans were scrapped because Bellfield and his fiancee realised they were never going to enjoy a proper relationship

She was also concerned about the fact her name could appear on any marriage certificate if she went through with the ceremony.

Bellfield is known to have killed three people, including 13-year-old Milly Dowler (pictured)

It was Confirmed Last Night

Last night Bellfield’s fiancee confirmed the pair won’t be walking down the aisle at HMP Frankland where he is imprisoned alongside fellow murders Ian Huntley and Wayne Couzens.

Bellfield wanted to marry the woman, pictured, so he ‘could wear a ring’ behind bars

And in an extraordinary statement she insisted she only ever agreed to marry Bellfield so he could wear a ring in his cell.

Statement From Source

The woman, who does not wish to be identified, said: ‘I purchased a ring for Levi as a gift, but was told he couldn’t have it unless he got married.

‘We never expected the prison to push things as far as they did. But when they continued to refuse to allow Levi to wear the ring we felt as if we had no choice.

‘But we won’t be getting married. It’s a joint decision. Levi is gutted but he’s far more upset that he won’t be able to wear the ring I’ve got for him.’

Revealing how she plans to carry on seeing Bellfield, who also murdered Marsha McDonnell, 19, and Amelie Delagrange, 22, she added: ‘I will continue with my visits and continue to try and get the ring allowed.’

It is Now Officially Announced

The pair have now officially told prison officials they no longer have any intention to marry – bringing an end to a costly saga which will be a huge relief to the many victims of Bellfield.

How Bellfield Met his Fiancée

Bellfield was introduced to his fiancée through the Yorkshire Ripper, Peter Sutcliffe, who was friends with the woman.

Bellfield and Sutcliffe were on the same wing in Durham’s HMP Frankland.

Bellfield asked to be put in touch with the woman, who is in her forties, after seeing her picture in Sutcliffe’s cells.

He Proposed During Prison Visit

Details of their engagement first emerged in May 2022 after Bellfield asked the woman for her hand in marriage during a prison visit.

The proposal caused political outrage, with the then Prime Minister Boris Johnson claiming he was ‘sickened and appalled’ by the prospect of the serial killer getting married behind bars.

Former Justice Minister Dominic Raab launched a Victims and Prisoners bill – currently going through parliament – which will axe the right of whole-life tariff inmates to wed.
