Drug lord who calls himself ‘The Devil’ and ‘chopped up rivals’ posts Instagram selfies FROM prison

ALBANIA – A notorious Albanian gangster who called himself ‘the Devil’ and claimed to have chopped up his rivals has been boasting of his exploits from behind bars.

Drug lord Selamet Mehmetaj posted images of himself on social media days after apparently gaining access to a mobile phone allegedly smuggled into prison.

Why he was Jailed

Mehmetaj, 30, was jailed for four-and-a-half years in August 2023 for running a multi-million-pound drug empire staffed by illegal immigrants.

He brazenly operated his criminal enterprise on Instagram while using his personal accounts to show off his cars and cash, mock the police and post links to rap videos he stars in.

Despite being jailed Mehmetaj is now back on the platform and appears to have bulked up since being sent to prison – posting images of himself flexing his muscles.

One photo is accompanied by a muscle emoji and has a caption in Albanian which translates as ‘Life is like a movie’.

He is wearing a white t-shirt from his own brand which features three slash marks on one arm and has downloaded one of his songs to provide a soundtrack to one of the images.

He is Running Advertisment From Behind Bar

Mehmetaj even appears to be back in business after advertising a car for sale on his account days earlier.

Prison bosses pledged to launch an investigation after being alerted.

Why he Chopped off a Rival

In 2021, Mehmetaj chillingly described how he kidnapped and cut off the fingers of a rival who crossed him after an investigation was launched into his drug dealing empire.

Details About his Crime

The drug lord ran two cannabis factories hidden in suburban north London homes staffed by illegal immigrants.

From there he distributed drugs worth millions of pounds a year across the UK alongside his younger brother Dior, who was himself a failed asylum seeker.

Mehmetaj was finally brought to justice when he was convicted alongside his brother at Wood Green Crown Court.

But just months after being jailed he is now back on Instagram and has made a series of posts in recent days.

Mehmetaj – who is also known as Memzo – had previously used the account to brag about his playboy lifestyle posting his last entry in October 2022 just weeks before his arrest.
