WEDDING – Naomi Watts has revealed that she walked down the aisle with her husband Billy Crudup in a rush last year because the pair were ‘keen’.
The actors opted for a courthouse wedding in New York last June, and the 55-year-old and her partner, also 55, just couldn’t wait.
Reason for ‘the Rush’
‘It just happened that way,’ she said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on the no frills ceremony.
‘We knew we wanted to do it, it was something we were very keen on doing and quickly. It’s an efficient way to do it.’
She added: ‘It was really lovely. It was a classic New York day. You ran into all kinds of people, some were dressed to the nines, some were walking quickly in and out.
‘It was very special and very memorable.’
The British-Australian actress was wed to the American The Morning Show star in June last year.
‘Hitched’
Naomi posted a photo of herself and her new husband posing on the steps of looked to be a Manhattan courthouse shortly after tying the knot, adding the caption: ‘Hitched.’
Naomi looked stunning in a $7,400 white Oscar de la Renta Sweetheart Water Lilly Guipure dress next to her actor husband, who currently stars in The Morning Show.

The Wears and the Look
The Mulholland Drive star wore her cropped blonde hair curled and parted to the side, and accessorized her look with open-toed pumps, a diamond necklace and a gold wedding band.
New York-born Billy meanwhile sported a navy blue suit, and he looked dashing with his clean-shaven visage and his shaggy salt-and-pepper hair swept back dramatically.
After the ceremony, Naomi shared a photo of the newlyweds celebrating with actor Mark Ruffalo and his wife Sunrise Coigney.
The famously secretive couple previously sparked marriage rumors after they were spotted in wedding attire in photos.
Naomi first sparked rumors that she and Billy had gotten engaged earlier that year, when she debuted an enormous diamond with a tasteful marquise cut, along with a diamond-encrusted band.
