English National Opera stagehand, 35, who stamped on his girlfriend’s HEAD is facing jail after years of abuse

An English National Opera stagehand who stamped on his girlfriend‘s head and threatened to leak private intimate videos among other forms of physical and psychological abuse, is facing jail.

Terence Wilson, 35, admitted abusing his partner over a four year period between January 2016 and March 2020.

He threatened her

During this time he subjected her to ‘financial demands, making threats to expose private and intimate videos, [and] making threats to report her to social services.’

He also admitted ‘using degrading or threatening language and using violence towards her, and he knew or ought to have known that the behaviour would have a serious effect.’

Wilson also caused her actual bodily harm in one assault on her on 6 August 2018.

He has already served a two year prison sentence for assaulting his partner on 4 December 2019.

As he stamped on her

On that occasion he slammed her to the ground, stamped on her head, and picked up a baseball bat, which she thought he was going to use on her.

He also has a string of at least nine other convictions for violence, dating as far back as 2012.

His other crimes

In February 2020 he received a suspended sentence for assaulting another woman during his relationship, and in 2012 he stabbed a neighbour in the arm.

Appearing in court dressed in a black suit and red tie, Wilson spoke only to confirm his name.Wilson, of Trafalgar Close in Peacehaven, East Sussex, earlier pleaded guilty to one count of controlling or coercive behaviour in an intimate or family relationship, and one counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He will be sentenced at Isleworth crown court on 17 January.
