U.S POLITICS – Donald Trump Jr. has said his dad could choose Tucker Carlson to be his vice presidential running mate if the former president wins the 2024 GOP nomination.
Don Jr. said the former Fox News host agrees with his father on ‘everything’ and would ‘certainly be a contender’ to be picked as the vice presidential candidate.

‘Don, is your dad serious about Tucker Carlson? Are those rumours serious?’ anchor Rob Finnerty asked on Newsmax’s Wake Up America on Thursday morning.

‘That clearly would be on the table, right? I mean they’re very friendly, I think they agree on virtually all of these things,’ Don Jr. said.
‘I would love to see that happen. That would certainly be a contender,’ the former president’s eldest son said, adding that Trump and Carlson agree on ‘stopping the never-ending war.’
‘You Need a Fighter who is Aggressive’
Don Jr. also said he would not rule out Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis because he has been ‘a leading contender.’
‘You need someone who’s in alignment, as well as, like, aggressive. You actually need a fighter,’ Don Jr. said.
‘The Republicans in Washington, D.C., are weak. You can have the House, the Senate, and they’ll still roll over.’
Don Jr. also mentioned other names including Sen. J.D. Vance, who he said was ‘principally in alignment [with his father] as well as aggressive.’
He also seemed to approve of Ben Carson, who served as Trump’s Housing secretary and endorsed his presidential campaign last year.

He Dislikes Nikki Haley
The only person Don Jr. would not like to see is Nikki Haley, the former UN ambassador and Trump’s rival.
‘I would do whatever I could to make sure it wasn’t Nikki Haley.’ he said. ‘I don’t think that’s currently really on the table. That’s my opinion, I don’t make these decisions.’
Is Haley Really a Republican?
Don Jr. also refused to call Haley a Republican on Thursday’s show, saying, ‘I think she’s being funded by Democrats, right? I mean, you see that.
‘She’s got Democrat megadonors funding her campaign. The people who are getting her gains in New Hampshire are all Democrats.
‘So, I probably see that as part of that sort of globalist Democrat, RINO tactic of dragging this out to make it harder for Trump to win a general.,’ he added.
