The girlfriend of a black Alabama man who burst into tears while he was being repeatedly tased at point blank range by a white female cop claims he was just changing a tire when the altercation began.
Details of the altercation
Jalexis Rice said things quickly escalated after her partner Micah Washington, 24, was approached by Reform Police officer Dana Elmore on Saturday.
Elmore was filmed telling Washington ‘shut your b**** ass up’ as she deployed a taser into his back while he was bent over the hood of his car.
Washington had admitted to having a gun in his possession moments earlier which was then confiscated by Elmore.
‘I couldn’t do nothing but cry,’ Rice, who was in the car at the time of the incident, told ABC News.
‘After she leaned him on the car and got the gun out of his pocket she screamed, “oh yeah”.
‘He asked her, ‘what you saying of yeah for?’ And that’s when she tased him in the the back and she was just holding it there.’
She is now on leave as punishment
The officer in Pickens County has since been placed on administrative leave in the face of widespread backlash over her conduct.

Meanwhile, Washington has been charged with obstructing governmental operations, resisting arrest, marijuana possession, drug trafficking and being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.
He is currently in Pickens County jail with a bond set at $505,000.Washington’s brother Shikeem Washington caught most of the incident on film.
The video was widely shared across social media, prompting a furious backlash.
On Monday a rally was organized outside Reform Municipal Building in protest over Elmore’s response.
