Mauro Icardi and wife Wanda Nara were both sporting black eyes after the Galatasaray star clashed into the goalpost in the match against Fenerbahce.
The striker was in action in the Super Lig clash against Fenerbahce and he went face-first into the goalpost after challenging for the ball in the box.
There were also claims that he took a hit to the face from a Fenerbahce player and may have been scraped by an opponent’s boot after going down in another incident.
Afterwards, the forward posted pictures on Instagram as he posed with his wife and kids.
He obviously took the hit in good humour as Wanda had given herself a black eye with makeup for one of the images.
As well as matching eye bruises, the couple were sporting identical pyjamas as they wished their followers all the best for the festive period, with the caption: ‘Merry Christmas to all. We wish you from Istanbul, Health Peace and much Love.’
