In what could prove to be a turning point for the 2023 NFL season, the former girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce made some flirtatious social media posts about Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts.
‘Fly Eagles Fly,’ Instagram model and influencer Kayla Nicole wrote on X in response to Hurts’ appearance at Monday’s 76ers-Lakers game in Philadelphia.
A night earlier, Hurts bolstered his MVP candidacy by guiding Philadelphia to a comeback win against the visiting Buffalo Bills.
Naturally, he was given a stirring ovation at the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia on Monday.
And as many noted, including Nicole, the 25-year-old quarterback looked rather dapper sitting courtside.
Of course, Nicole’s former boyfriend’s team, the Chiefs, recently fell to Hurts’ Eagles after defeating Philadelphia in February’s Super Bowl.
So a potential relationship between Nicole and Hurts would certainly add fuel to the rivalry — particularly with Kelce’s ongoing romance with Philadelphia native, Taylor Swift.
But alas, Hurts isn’t on the market, as Nicole quickly discovered.
‘Jalen already has a Black Queen! Relax,’ one person responded, referring to Hurts’ girlfriend, Bryonna ‘Bry’ Rivera Burrows.
The two have been together, more or less, since they met at the University of Alabama sometime between 2016 and 2018.
Hurts transferred to Oklahoma in 2019 before being taken by the Eagles in the second round of that year’s NFL Draft.
‘That man is in a relationship lmao,’ another commenter wrote. ‘Leave him alone please.’
‘I doubt she’s trying to holla that man is very taken,’ another added.
‘She can look but can NOT touch.. he’s in a relationship with a BLACK WOMAN.. we can’t break up that happy home,’ yet another commenter wrote.
Kelce and Nicole dated off and on for several years before splitting for good in 2022.
Currently Hurts’ Eagles are 10-1, while Kelce’s Chiefs are 8-3, making a potential Super Bowl rematch a distinct possibility.
