A travel expert has been praised for calling out the ‘worst type’ of plane passenger – while sparking an outpouring of frustration against one particular habit that drives fellow travelers crazy.
Daniel Bennett, 27, is a flying pro who frequently documents himself jet-setting around the world to his more than 576,000 followers on TikTok.
WORST plane passenger habit
Recently, the US-based travel expert took to the video-sharing platform to lament about passengers who placed small items in the overhead bins.
He branded them the ‘worst’ people, adding that they deserved a ‘jail sentence’ for taking up all the space in the bins – leaving other passengers forced to check their bags.
The viral video, which has so far amassed more than 5.9 million views, was captioned: ‘Straight to jail.’
While standing near the baggage claim, he said: ‘The easiest way to tell if someone is a good person in an airport is to see where they put their luggage when they get on a plane.’
Way to study people
Daniel then claimed that the way people put their luggage away says a lot about them.
‘If they put their carry-on luggage in the overhead compartment and they put their personal item under their seat – they’re a good person and they’re aware of their surroundings,’ he explained.

However, if they put their small personal items elsewhere, then they aren’t in Daniel’s good graces.
He added: ‘If they put their backpack or their purse or that small item in the overhead compartment and then no one else can put their carry-on luggage on and then they have to check it and they have to wait by baggage claim to get their stuff, they are the worst type of person and deserve a jail sentence for life.’
At the end of the video, he showed himself waiting at the baggage claim to collect his luggage.
