Tom Hanks‘ son Chet Hanks landed himself in a physical tussle when he allegedly punched a man while he was trying to break into his home.
The break-in
According to reports, Chet, 33, woke up at 3 am when he found a man trying to break into his house in Los Angeles.
Actor and musician Chet reportedly took matters into his own hands, engaging in a physical altercation with the intruder by delivering punches and attempting to restrain him.
According to TMZ, the suspect did not stop fighting back even when the police arrived.
How the intruder was later arrested
Additionally, the man broke the leg of a police officer by falling on top of him after handcuffing the alleged intruder.
After the suspect was placed under arrest, the officer and the suspect were both transported to the hospital.

Further, it is now up to the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office whether the suspect will face charges or not.
Tom Hank, who is an Oscar-winning actor, shares Chet, with his actress wife Rita and the couple are also parents to son Truman, 29.
Apart from that, the Oscar-winning actor also has a Colin, 44, and a daughter Elizabeth, 40, from his previous marriage to Samantha Lewes.
Back in 2022, Chet took to video sharing platform, YouTube, and opened up about his upbringing as the son of renowned parents, wherein he said he feels ‘deeply insecure and ashamed’ about it.
