Icon that she is, Gillian Anderson has shared an unbelievable gift knitted by Tom Daley and we’re in shock.
The Agent Scully actress switched up her regular behind-the-scenes S3x Education snaps to show off the surprising guest… and Tom. Gillian, 55, held up a massive rainbow coloured ‘crocheted willy’ as she posed with the Olympic diver turned knitting enthusiast.
She plays Jean Milburn, a s3x therapist and mum to protagonist Otis, in the hit show and has shared cheeky NSFW snaps of various props since the SAG-AFTRA strikes ended.
She explained that Tom, 29, had also made her a cardigan which she wore in the final season of Netflix’s s3x positive show.
Writing to her 2.7 million followers, Gillian said: ‘Wanted to say a huge huge thank you to the darling @tomdaley for knitting this fantastic jumper (and crocheted willy for me to wear for our final season of @s3xeducation!
‘Together we raised just over £12k for @mindcharity, which will be divided amongst 8 local Minds who work with LGBTIQA+ communities. Thank you for your stellar knitting, skills Tom and for coming to visit me on set!’
Gillian, whose net worth is an estimated $40 million (£31.5 million), grinned as she proudly held the knitted p*nis and posed with Tom.
She shared a mirror selfie of Tom, who has been seen supporting his husband Dustin Lance Black in court, in the then one-sleeved cardigan.
The white cardigan with multicoloured stripes didn’t come out of nowhere though as the British icon had actually asked Tom to knit something for her way back in 2021.
Tom’s poolside knitting at the Olympics captured our hearts as he revealed he had developed his skills over the years – even releasing his own patterns and kits.
His iconic willy warmers were a hit with his friends as he previously admitted: ‘I started knitting at the beginning of 2020 and I haven’t stopped.’
When he first showed off his knitting skills, making a little British flag cozy for his Olympic gold medal, Gillian shared the picture begging him to make something.
‘Congratulations @tomdaley!!!,’ Gillian wrote. ‘When you have spared a few minutes while conquering the world, how about crocheting Jean Milburn a hat/scarf/honey cup, to wear if we do another @s3xeducation season, and then we’ll auction it off for your favourite LGBTQ charity?’
