Omid Scobie Branded 'Nasty' And 'Disgraceful' Over His 'Unfair' Attacks On Kate As Royal Experts Defend Princess Of Wales After He Claimed She Is 'Cold' And 'Ignored Meghan's Cries For Help'

Meghan Markle’s ‘mouthpiece‘ Omid Scobie has taken aim at Kate, Princess of Wales, in his scathing new book, Endgame.

In the book, which has already been published in Australia, he paints an unflattering picture of a royal who works ‘part-time’ and has earned herself the nickname ‘Katie Keen‘ because the palace press office hides her reportedly lower workload by saying she is ‘keen to learn’.

Implying that she does less than other senior, working royals, he says her position is one other parent could ‘only dream of’, and insists she ‘does not plan to increase her workload for 10-15 years’ until her children are grown.

He writes: “The late Queen, too, would take off blocks of time throughout the year to recharge, but she was also known to carry out at least three hundred engagements annually. Sources said Kate remains ‘laser focused’ on her duty to the family first, and then the Crown.

“Where other senior royals are out and about several times a week, meeting people across the length and breadth of the country, Kate has long maintained a smaller work schedule that helped her check off the required royal boxes while saving time for her roles as a mother and a wife.”

Scobie also brands the future queen ‘cold’ and claims that despite being an advocate for better mental health, Kate ‘ignored Meghan’s cries for help’ and had ‘no interest in being friends with her sister-in-law’.

Drawing comparisons between the two women, he says Kate isn’t known for her ‘leadership and outgoing nature’, unlike Meghan, and that the mother-of-three has had five private secretaries in six years because they apparently found the role ‘uninspiring and frustrating’.

Furthermore, he claims Kate ‘often stumbles on her words’ when speaking in public and that she desperately didn’t want to appear on Blue Peter in 2019, describing her as a ‘bag of nerves’ who was ‘well out of her comfort zone’.

According to the author, Kate – who he says is ‘naturally timid’ – had ‘never been pushed’ by the palace before that. He claims aides are ‘vigilant’ when it comes to her workload, allegedly not wanting to push her too hard.

Omid Scobie’s latest book Endgame is packed with new insights and allegations from the author and long-time associate of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The hardback is reduced to £11 on Amazon but Mirror readers can listen to the audio version without paying a penny using a free Audible trial.

Meghan, meanwhile, was the ‘star of the show’ and ‘the new Diana’, Scobie says. Claiming she knew ‘how to be modern royal’, he writes that the Duchess of Sussex ‘got things done fast’.

Nevertheless, he says Meghan was ‘lonely and isolated’ and turned to Kate for ‘an encouraging word, including her emotional difficulties during her pregnancy’.

As has been well documented, the two women did not hit it off and in Endgame, it’s claimed that Kate ‘shivers’ whenever Meghan’s name is mentioned.

In his latest book, the 42-year-old journalist and writer Scobie, who was one of the authors of the Sussexes’ biography Finding Freedom, “pulls back the curtain on an institution in turmoil” in a bid to “show what the monarchy must change in order to survive”.

Endgame, which was published today, after being pushed back from August to include events leading surrounding the King’s Coronation., is subtitled “Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival”.

The headings of chapters include: ‘Shaky Ground: The Queen is Dead, the Monarchy Faces Trouble’, ‘The Fall of Prince Andrew: Scandal, Shame and Silencing Jane Doe’. ‘Race and the Royals: Institutional Bigotry and Denial’, ‘Gloves On: Prince William, Heir to the Throne’, and ‘Gloves Off: Prince Harry, Man on a Mission’.

New explosive allegations in the book include Meghan “never” wanting to “set foot again in England again” as she has no wish to “dive back into the soap opera of the court”. It also claims Kate and Meghan’s soured relationship is damaged beyond repair, as Omid’s sources claim that “every time she hears about Meghan, Kate shudders and giggles.”

There are bombshells about Harry and William’s fractured relationship too with the Prince of Wales now considering the Duke of Sussex an “outsider” after he published his controversial memoir Spare in which he alleged his older brother physically attacked him. It also claims King Charles dismissed a desperate plea from Harry for an urgent meeting because he was “overworked” and instead “ordered an assistant to get rid of him with the excuse”.
