Ex-husband of Imran Khan’s wife says he was SUSPICIOUS about the Pakistan cricketer’s late night visits

The ex-husband of Imran Khan’s wife has revealed how he became suspicious when the legendary cricketer would regularly contact her late at night, as she reassured him she was just having ‘spiritual healing’.

Legendary playboy ladies’ man Khan, Pakistan’s former Prime Minister who is now languishing in prison on corruption charges he denies, would routinely call and visit married Bushra Bedi late at night.

But despite her assurances that the contacts were an innocent means to explore her spiritual growth, she eventually divorced her husband and quickly married Khan, now 71.

Speaking about the matter for the first time Bedi’s ex-husband Khawar Maneka made a string of allegations about how he was misled over her growing ever closer to Khan.

How it all started

In an interview with Pakistan channel Samaa TV Maneka said: ‘They would talk for hours on the mobile during the night.

‘All of this was happening without my permission. And whenever I questioned Bushra, she would say that it is a matter related to spiritual healing.’

He added: ‘Our marriage lasted for 28 years. We had a very happy married life but Imran Khan ruined it.’

She didn’t yield to warnings

Despite warnings from Maneka’s mother, who he says told him Khan was unsuitable company for his wife, the two reportedly started talking secretly on the mobile phone at night.

According to Maneka, Khan would then regularly visit their home, often at night, without his permission.

He sent him out

At one point, Maneka claimed he became so upset by Khan’s regular visits that he confronted him and then, with the help of a servant, he forcibly removed Khan from the family home.

He said: ‘We were happily married. But Imran Khan would come to my house in my absence and sit there for hours with Bushra.

‘One time I called my servant and asked him why my calls to Bushra’s phone were not being received. He told me that Imran Khan is here.

‘So I told him to go in the room while I stayed on the call. I scolded Bushra and told Khan to leave my house. I told my servant to make sure he leaves immediately.’
