Britney Spears’ mother Lynne DENIES selling her daughter’s belongings as she begs pop star to let her return them

Britney Spears‘ mother Lynne Spears has denied selling her daughter’s belongings in a new Instagram post.

On Thursday, the 68-year-old shared a rare update after fans had accused the mother-of-free of profiting from memorabilia belonging to Britney.

Lynne Spears makes an online disclaimer

‘I’m not sure who told you I got rid of your dolls and journals but I would never do that!’ Lynne told Britney in her public post.

She continued: ‘That would be cruel because I know how much they mean to you. They are special to me too because of the years we spent collecting them.’

Making it clear that she is unable to reach the troubled pop star and does not appear to have an open line of communication with her, Lynne then asked Britney if she could return the items.

She concluded her post: ‘Of course I still have your things, and I am happy to send them to you if you’d like me to. Please let me know and know how much I love you!’

The post featured a carousel of images including an old journal, a vintage doll collection and ornate china.

No communication between them

Britney has made no secret of the fact she is no longer in touch with her family – specifically her father Jamie Spears, sister Jamie Lynn Spears, and her mother Lynne.

It comes as Britney’s former Kentwood, Louisiana home was put on the market for $1.2million last week.

It has been reported that a door at the childhood home emblazoned with ‘Christina sucks’ could fetch a whopping $30,000 at auction.

Why Britney Spears is upset with her mother

In Britney’s best-selling memoir The Woman In Me – she touches on how upset she was when her mother Lynne made money off ‘the darkest times’ in her life.

Britney trashed Lynne for writing her own tell-all book, 2008’s Through the Storm, saying she was ‘trading’ on her name following her well-publicized 2007 breakdown.

Good old days together

Meanwhile, as Britney has been re-living some of the darkest moments of her life, her sister Jamie Lynn Spears is now rumored to be signing up to appear in the UK show I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! something Britney no doubt wanted to say a number of times under the control of father’s conservatorship.

The 32-year-old actress – who appeared Nickelodeon in the late 2000s thanks to Britney’s fame – is said to be set for an appearance on the ITV1 jungle survival show when it returns to screens on November 19.

In recent years, Jamie Lynn has become estranged from her sister – who regained control of her multimillion-dollar fortune – exchanging many passive aggressive messages over social media.
