Beloved cheerleading coach and mom of 3 is murdered, suspect is BOYFRIEND

Authorities in Texas have charged the boyfriend of a beloved cheerleading coach and mother of three in her murder after she was found dead last weekend.

Suspect was arrested

William Christian Thomas, 23, of Livingston, was taken into custody on a murder charge in connection with the death of his 24-year-old girlfriend, Rosalin Lewis, local stations KBMT, KETK, and KBTV-TV report, citing the Jasper Police Department.

The reports say he’s being held in the Jasper County Jail on a $1 million bond. It’s unclear if he has entered a plea or retained an attorney to speak on his behalf.

Officers responded to the Myrtis Village apartments in Jasper at about 4 a.m. local time on Nov. 18 and found Lewis dead.

Cause of death

Police said her cause of death was determined to be ‘blunt force trauma,’ according to the outlets.

She was a cheerleading coach and founded ‘Stunning Stars Cheer & Dance’ in her senior year of high school alongside her mother, Schwanda Scott.

The investigation is ongoing.
