Matt Lucas will no doubt have caused excitement among his fans as he revealed he is currently working on a new project with David Walliams.
Matt, 49, who shot to stardom following his comedy sketch show Little Britain with David in the noughties, revealed they are in the early stages of a new idea.

When asked about his plans with David, Matt said: ‘We are working on a new idea and we will see what happens with that. We haven’t pitched the idea to anyone yet.’
It comes after it was revealed David is suing his former bosses at Britain’s Got Talent – ten months after he was axed from his £1.5million-a-year role as a judge.
The comedian is seeking significant damages from Fremantle, which produces the reality series on ITV’s behalf, with legal paperwork suggesting that he is accusing bosses there of allowing details of his rude comments to be leaked to a newspaper.
Court papers lodged at the High Court in London last Thursday, under his real name of David Williams, accuse the firm of data protection breach over the leaked transcript which prompted a swift end to ten year long stint as a judge on the show.
Walliams, who is worth around £17million, quit the show last November, two weeks after he was caught calling an elderly contestant a ‘c***’ during a break in filming.
He was also heard disparaging a female contestant, calling her a ‘slightly boring girl you meet in the pub that thinks you want to f*** them, but you don’t’.
Elsewhere during his appearance, which was to discuss his new musical novel, the boy who slept through Christmas, Matt was left flustered over a This Morning star.
Matt’s first appearance since The Great British Bake Off
After spotting resident health expert Dr Hilary, Matt said: ‘Gosh I’ve gone all flustered because Dr Hilary is over there. Look at him what a fine man. If i wasn’t gay already I would be now!
‘It was Matt’s first appearance since The Great British Bake Off aired on Tuesday, his first show after leaving the show and being replaced by Alison Hammond.
Commenting on her debut, he said: ‘I thought Alison was brilliant. We have been messaging each other she is fantastic.’
On Tuesday, Matt shared a sweet message to Alison after she made her debut on social media.
His support comes as the first show of 2023 suffered a ratings lump compared to last year’s launch with 100,000 less viewers tuning in.
