Jada Pinkett Smith kept cozy while stepping out for dinner with daughter Willow at Il Mulino Prime steakhouse in New York on Tuesday.
The Matrix star, 52, braved the chilly weather in a pastel yellow tracksuit underneath a maxi black coat.
Jada and Willow serving positive vibes
The actress appeared in good spirits, laughing it up with Willow, 22, after making a number of explosive and baffling claims in her new memoir, Worthy.
Jada — who recently shared that she and husband Will Smith, 55, want to write a book together — completed her outfit with open-toe black heels.
The entertainer accessorized with dark aviator shades and a black purse for the night out.
Like her mom, Willow also sported a long black coat. Underneath she wore a navy t-shirt, black pants, and classic converse sneakers.
It comes following reports that Willow and her brother Jaden Smith, 25, aren’t exactly fans of their mother’s latest press tour, according to a source that spoke to Entertainment Tonight.
The insider said that the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star’s kids ‘feel bad for their dad with all the recent headlines about their parents.’
They added that both of the Smith kids wished that ‘some of their family’s private matters remained private.’
After everything, family is family
The main matter the source appeared to be referring to in the interview was Jada’s bombshell revelation that she and her husband had actually been separated for seven years.
Although the devoted kids felt for their famous dad, a source said that they experienced mixed emotions following their mother’s reveals, with both Willow and Jaden also feeling a bit of relief that the truth was out.
‘Although Jaden and Willow love their mom to no end and take on many of her behaviors and traits, they are very relieved the news is finally out there so everyone can just get on with it,’ the source revealed
The siblings reportedly felt extremely ‘uncomfortable’ whenever they had to dodge questions about the state of their parents relationship over the years.
However, despite their sense of relief that the truth was finally public knowledge, both Willow and Jaden felt like the news ‘wasn’t helping’ the Men in Black star on his own journey.
‘They know he has been going through a lot lately and this isn’t helping,’ said the insider who spoke to Entertainment Tonight.
Most recently Jada has dropped yet another surprising revelation – she and husband Will are contemplating writing a book together.
‘I know Will and I are talking about writing a book, together, called “Don’t Try This at Home,”‘ she told Extra.
It would follow Jada’s sensational memoir Worthy, which describes the marital and personal troubles she endured.
Jada has been telling all as she promotes her new book – including the revelation she and Will have been separated for seven years.
