This is the inspiring moment a brave businesswoman caught a shoplifter trying to steal £250 worth of perfume from her store – just months after rugby tackling a pair of thieves.
Domonique Woodward, who runs Fragrance House in Malvern, Worcestershire, bravely stopped two men who tried to steal £1,000 of perfume by piling expensive products into their bags in April.
Hero in high heels
New footage shared shows the moment she swapped her high heels for flip flops and stopped a shoplifter from stealing bottles of Paco Rabanne One Million and Paco Rabanne Phantom.
The 32-year-old said she ‘decided to fight back’ against shoplifters who ‘can’t keep getting away with it’.
The video – filmed on Friday – showcases once again how shoplifting has become rife in both major stores and independent businesses – and that many shop owners are being forced to enforce the law themselves.
Ms Woodward told MailOnline: ‘The boy came in, I greeted him and we had a chat. He looked to be in his late twenties and was wearing a tracksuits and a summer bucket hat – despite the fact it was raining.
‘He started staring at the fragrances and picked up the first item and put it in his bag. Then he did the same with a second.
‘I asked him what he was doing then walked over, grabbed his bag and ripped it open. He said ”you’re not allowed to do that, it’s my property”.

‘I saw some other stolen items from other shops and said ”you’re getting out of my shop, I’m not having this and started pushing him towards the front door”.
‘He started grabbing other stuff but I kept pushing him, including some Lactose fragrances, but didn’t manage to get any.
‘He made a last dive for the last bit of shelving but I grabbed hold of him again and pushed him to the door.
‘At that point another staff member came in and chased him.’
Ms Woodward said she reported the incident to the police.
She added: ‘He stunk of weed. I think he was trying to grab expensive stuff so he could sell it on.’
Primark CEO George Weston said it was time for the shoplifting crisis to be taken ‘more seriously’.
He said Primark had experienced rising cases of both shoplifting and attacks on its employees.
‘We are having more of our clothes stolen than ever before, this is increasing,’ he said.
‘There has been an increase in anti-social behaviour, including assaults on shop staff.’
