Horrific update in case of woman RIPPED apart by her own dogs

A young woman fighting for life after being mauled by her pet Rottweilers has now been struck down with bacterial infections as a result of being bitten.

Nikita Piil, 31, suffered severe injuries to her arms and legs after she was viciously attacked by her dogs Harlem, four, and Bronx, seven, at her Success home, in Perth, on September 16.

Five surgeries in 13 hours

Ms Piil remains in hospital and has undergone five emergency surgeries, amounting to a total of 13 hours, as doctors desperately work to save her arm.

Her family on Thursday revealed the 31-year-old has now suffered another blow.

‘Unfortunately, she didn’t brush her dog’s teeth that morning, so the canine bacterial infections are manifesting and creating ongoing serious complications,’ they wrote in a GoFundMe for Ms Piil’s medical costs.

Ms Piil’s sister Natasha earlier said that her siblings loved her dogs and Harlem and Bronx loved her back.

‘Unfortunately she got caught in a crossfire calming her dogs down due to an incident within the neighbourhood. There’s more to this story as to what the media has told,’ she said.

On the day of the attack, police had arrived at least 10 minutes after the neighbours first heard Ms Piil’s screams.

The dog could not be tasered

Police had to shoot Bronx after failed attempts at tasering the dog, who was later euthanised by a vet.

Harlem is in the pound and won’t be euthanised unless Ms Piil says so, the local council said.Ms Piil remains in a serious but stable condition after suffering major blood loss.

It remains unclear what prompted the dogs to attack their owner.

The fundraiser has so far garnered more than $15,000 in donations out of a $30,000 target.
