- – The WAP hitmaker, 30, hurled a microphone at an audience member
– The night prior she also threw her mic at a DJ in Las Vegas
Rapper Cardi B is now a suspect in a battery investigation after she threw a microphone at an audience member who tossed a drink at her during a gig in Las Vegas over the weekend.
The mother of two was seen hurling the microphone from the stage after getting splashed by a drink thrown by a fan during a gig at Drai’s Beachclub on Saturday.
The woman who was hit by the mic went to Las Vegas Metro PD the next day to report the incident, reports TMZ.
She told police she had been struck by the microphone thrown from the stage, and the woman in question has now claimed on social media that she was not the person who threw the drink at Cardi.
Saying she was ‘bruised and sore’, she shared a clip of the incident captioned: ‘When I’m the one who gets smoked by the microphone but didn’t throw the drink.’
In the video, the American rapper was seen setting the stage on fire with her performance when a person in the crowd hurled liquid from a cup at her mid-performance.
Cardi, who appeared visibly shocked at the incident, hurled her microphone at the person while appearing to angrily yell at the person.
A clip showing a new angle of the incident – captioned: ‘When you f*** around and find out’ – showed the fan who apparently threw the drink saying ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry’ after Cardi hurled the microphone.
The lady was immediately escorted out of the venue by security.
The incident has been documented on a police report and no arrest or citations have been issued. No further details will be provided at this time.
The night prior, Cardi was performing at Drai’s Nightclub when she became irritated after the DJ was allegedly cutting off her songs too early.
In a clip shared to social media by user kfen777 the entertainer was seen shouting out her name before turning around and flinging the microphone in the direction of the DJ as if she was throwing a football, before walking off stage.
