Controversial social media influencer Andrew Tate, 36, has taken aim at Amanda Holden to viciously troll her – sparking an immediate backlash with her fans.
The 36-year-old social media personality – who is currently accused of forming an organized criminal group and engaging in human trafficking across Romania, Britain and the United States – lashed out at 52-year-old BGT judge Amanda after she shared a photo of herself in a bikini and enjoying an outdoor shower via social media.
But the vile influencer – who is under house arrest in Bucharest over sex trafficking charges – perhaps hadn’t bet on Amanda’s loyal fanbase hitting back to defend her after he made a comment that most found to be dated and misogynistic.
Andrew put the proverbial cat among the pigeons when he published a bitter tweet in response to the snap that Amanda shared.
In her photo, Amanda could be seen wearing a classic black bikini while standing underneath an outdoor shower. She captioned the image with a simple message – wiring: ‘Good morning’ alongside a sun emoji.
Her inoffensive posting prompted a vicious response from Andrew, however, who replied via Twitter, writing: ‘You are a wife and a mother and youre far past a teenager. There is no need for this post.’
But fans were quick to rally to Amanda’s aid, with one hitting back at the former Big Brother contestant, with one writing: ‘mind your business.’
Another highlighted the hypocrisy of Andrew’s comment – as he frequently shares topless images of himself online.
One replied to his comment, writing: ‘Lol! I have hardly seen you in clothes yourself @Cobratate What is the need for thoses posts then?’
Another fan commented: ‘Tate trying to tell women to cover up LOL’, and another warned him: ‘You should stay in your lane Andrew. There is no need for this post.’
Others blasted Andrew for his dated views, with one writing: ‘Some men think they own women. This is a perfect example. Stone age era thinking.’
And another commented: ‘Or we can simply stop telling others what they need to do?’
Amanda is yet to respond publicly to the slur.Instead she has continued her romantic getaway with her husband Chris Hughes.
It’s unlikely the BGT judge will be put off keeping her followers up to date with sexy snaps.
Amanda is married to record producer Chris Hughes and the pair have been a couple since 2004 and tied-the-knot in 2008.
The pair share two children together; 17-year-old daughter Alexa, and 11-year-old Hollie.
Amanda and Chris suffered a devastating loss in 2011 when their son, Theo, was stillborn at seven months and Amanda has since campaigned to raise awareness for baby loss charity Aching Arms.
Reflecting on her loss last year as she prepared to raise money via a sponsored walk, Amanda said: ‘We lost our baby Theo at 28 weeks, and they very sensitively moved me into another room so I could deliver him without having to hear the lovely babies screaming on a normal ward. Often that’s not thought about, it’s little things like that.
‘I remember the lady afterwards as well when we went for a chat also said ”I know you’re going home empty handed” is what she said to me.
‘So I felt like some sort of game show contestant, so it’s all of that language that I know this charity will be helping people to avoid and educate them on how best to deal with something so awful. It’s just awful.’
