Victoria Beckham has come under fire from cruel mum-shamers for her daughter Harper’s birthday outfit as she celebrates turning 12.

Harper, the youngest of Victoria and husband David Beckham‘s children, turned 12 yesterday with mum Victoria sharing some snaps from the family celebrations on Instagram.

As part of her birthday celebrations, the pre-teen was treated to afternoon tea at Prada Caffè in Harrods alongside her older brothers Romeo and Cruz.

Sharing the birthday trip, Victoria shared a snap of herself stood alongside Harper as she wrote on Instagram: ‘Harper Seven is 12!!(almost) @Prada party for Harper Seven CHIC!!’

In the pictures mum Victoria cut a stylish silhouette in a sleek black floor length dress as she poses next to Harper in a long lilac silk dress trimmed with lace which she teamed with trainers.

Harper’s purple dress appears to have been deemed ‘inappropriate’ by social media users, who have taken to the comments on Victoria’s Instagram post to cruelly criticise Victoria for allowing her daughter to wear it.

One social media user asked: ‘Why is your pre teen dressed in bed wear – weird’.

Another wrote: ‘She is a child in lingerie . It’s not right.’

‘Can’t imagine letting ac12yr old wear a slip. That is not age appropriate as everyone is saying. People have lost the ability to actually say what they’re really thinking, in case it offends the poster,’ slammed a third.

Another added: ‘A lingerie style dress for a 12yo girl isn’t appropriate at all. She’s super cute, her angel face doesn’t go well with that type of dress.’

One follower wrote: ‘whats a prada party? does not sound fun for a 12 year old to be honest… my 12th bday was celebrated at home with a few friends of mine. my mom baked me a cake and my friends and I enjoyed fun games like chocolate cutting,….’

Another agreed, as they wrote: ‘At 12 she should be living the life of a girl not concerned or exposed to silly labels , fashion names etc. Childhood should be devoid of all that stupid stuff that insecure adults need in their life to some how feel validated.’
