Meghan Markle‘s popular TV show Suits has broken a streaming record, almost four years after the last episode aired.

The former USA Network series, which ran from 2011 until 2019, reached 3.14 billion minutes of streaming time during the week of June 26 to July 2 after it debuted on Netflix just last month.

Meghan Markle was hugely popular as Rachel Zane

The top spot had previously been held by Manifest, which racked up 2.49 billion minutes of watch time.

The Duchess of Sussex, 41, was a huge star on Suits in the role of Rachel Zane.

In fact, she impressed viewers so much that she’s said to have had ‘loads of fans’ waiting to meet her after filming.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Suits wasn’t the only show to have topped the billion-minute mark.

Both The Witcher and The Bear also surpassed one billion minutes of viewing.

Suits has broken a streaming record

The new record comes after Meghan smashed records with her and Prince Harry’s Netflix documentary.

The explosive series, titled Harry & Meghan, received mixed reviews but that didn’t stop it from becoming a huge success.

The docuseries broke streaming records as it became the biggest Netflix documentary debut, with a total 81.6 million hours watched on its first four days of release.

The couple released their docuseries last December.

In it, they made a series of explosive claims about their time in the Royal Family.

In the bombshell series, Harry detailed the breakdown of his relationship with his brother Prince William and claimed he left him terrified after he screamed and shouted at him during the Sandringham summit.

Harry also alleged members of Kensington Palace had then ‘lied to protect my brother’.

The Duke of Sussex also took aim at his dad, King Charles and discussed the tense Megxit crisis meeting held with the Queen in January 2020.

The show was released as part of Meghan and Harry’s huge deal with Netflix. It is unknown exactly how much the deal is worth but it has been reported it could be worth $112million (£88,000).

The couple are collaborating with the streaming giant on numerous projects, including the much-anticipated documentary series Heart of Invictus, which is set for an August premiere date.
