Kate Ferdinand has given birth to her baby daughter with husband Rio Ferdinand as the mum shared a sweet photo announcing the news on Instagram.
Kate posted a picture of her newborn baby girl with her husband Rio’s hands resting gently on his daughter’s chest.
Rio’s eldest children Lorenz, 16, and Tate, 14, also have their hands sweetly on top of their new sibling.
Announcing her newborn daughter’s name, Kate captioned the post: ‘Shae Ferdinand 10.7.23 Our strong little girl.’
Kate’s friends rushed to congratulate the arrival of the family’s newest edition as Love Island star Montana Brown wrote: ‘Congrats gorgeous,’ while Towie star Georgia Kousoulou said: ‘Awwwww congratulations.’
Rio’s former football club Manchester United commented: ‘Congratulations.’
Kate and Rio share a son together, Cree while Kate is also a stepmother to Rio’s children Lorenz, Tate and Tia, 12 – who he shared with wife Rebecca Ellison before she died of breast cancer in 2015, aged just 34.
The TV personality recently revealed her baby girl was in breech position as she shared a pregnancy update during an appearance on Loose Women in June.
She said: ‘Can I tell the truth, I’m feeling a bit tired and the baby is breech. So she digs in the ribs and kicks in the bladder.’
Kate and Rio revealed they were expecting a baby girl back in March with 12-year-old Tia ‘over the moon’ at the news.
‘[Tia] is so excited I feel like she’s been praying for a little girl. We are very outnumbered with the boys so hopefully there’s a bit more feminine energy in the house,’ Kate explained.
