A teenage girl who vanished without trace FOUR years ago has been found alive after walking into a police station.
Alicia Navarro disappeared from her home in a small town in Arizona – before reappearing hundreds of miles away in Montana, near the Canadian border.
She left behind a note saying she would be back.
Her desperate mum Jessica Nunez feared she had been lured away by an online predator – sparking a huge missing person hunt lasting until now when she handed herself in at the rural detectives station.
Mystery surrounds where Alicia, now 18, has been since she vanished in September 2019.
Officers at Glendale police station say she is ‘healthy and happy’ despite feeling ‘overwhelmed’.
In a video interview, a detective can be heard asking ‘did anybody hurt you while you were away?’ before Alicia replies ‘no, no-one hurt me’.
The officer then says ‘our goal is we just want to make sure you are safe’. The teen replies: ‘I understand that.’
Police say they are confident the person who surrendered at the station is missing Alicia – and vowed they are continuing to investigate her whereabouts for the last four years.
Alicia’s mum Jessica posted an emotional video on her Finding Alicia Facebook page shortly after police confirmed her discovery.
The visibly overwhelmed parent told supporters: ‘I want to give glory to god for answering our prayers and for this miracle. My daughter, Alicia Navarro, who was missing since September 15, 2019 has been found safe.’
