Fans spot ‘giddy’ Kate Middleton meeting James Norton while William ‘keeps eye on her’

The Prince and Princess of Wales are used to rubbing shoulders with the stars of stage of screen.

And as they attended the men’s final at Wimbledon with Prince George and Princess Charlotte, they met an array of famous faces in the Royal Box.

Not only did they sit alongside the King of Spain, but they also chatted with James Bond himself Daniel Craig and his actress wife Rachel Weisz.

But it appears that one famous face left an impression on Kate, and according to royal fans, her fan-girling prompted a hilarious face from her husband Prince William.

A picture taken of the prestigious box during the clash shows the princess beaming as she chatted with Happy Valley star James Norton.

The actor, who is tipped to be the next James Bond, could be seen smiling at Kate while William appeared to be keeping his eye on the pair from the row behind.

The snap sent royal fans wild on social media as they joked about a ‘giddy’ Kate meeting the star while William keeps ‘an eye on her’.

One fan wrote on Twitter referring to the photo: ‘Please can we have James Norton as Bond. Kate looking giddy’.

Another said: ‘The way Will is keeping an eye on his missus meeting James Norton at Wimbledon,’ while one noted William was ‘keeping an eye on his star-struck wife’.

Meanwhile, one fan even noted that William appeared to break off his conversation with Rachel Weisz to check up on Kate.

One explained: ‘Catherine, Princess of Wales met actor James Norton today and William forgot he was in discussion with Actress Rachel Weisz. The side eye reads Ma’am!’

Norton, 37, had been attending the last day of the annual tournament, which saw Carlos Alcaraz lift the men’s title, with his partner Imogen Poots.

At Wimbledon on Sunday, Kate presented world number one Alcaraz with his first Wimbledon championship trophy, marking the Spaniard’s win against Djokovic who was battling for a record-equalling eighth Wimbledon title.
