A French photographer who amassed a social media following for his daredevil stunts has fallen to his death from a Hong Kong skyscraper while trying to pose for a photo.
Remi Lucidi, better known online as Remi Enigma, is believed to have gotten trapped outside the top-floor penthouse of the Trengunter Tower complex, frantically knocking on a window and startling a maid inside.
The 30-year-old then lost his footing and plummeted 68 floors, dying instantly.
Hong Kong officials claim a security guard at the building had attempted to apprehend Lucidi when his claim of visiting a friend on the 40th floor proved untrue, but the extreme sports fan managed to make his way higher up the building.

Those pursuing the photographer later found a hatch leading to the roof open but say the man was nowhere to be found, reports the Daily Star.
Lucidi was last seen alive at 7.38pm, tapping on the window of the complex’s penthouse, which then prompted a maid in the apartment to call the police.
An unnamed source claims police believe Lucidi was trapped outside the penthouse and was banging on the window for help before his tragic fall.
A separate source to the incident says Lucidi’s camera at the scene of his death contained footage of other death-defying stunts and climbs, with an official cause of death yet to be released.
Hostel owner Gurjit Kaur, which is where Lucidi was reportedly staying, said: ‘He was healthy and fit and happy-faced. I feel very sad.’
The ‘friendly and humble guy’ had amassed an Instagram following who would see the bold and adrenalin-pumping photographs Lucidi would take atop buildings and large structures.
A worker who claimed to speak to Lucidi said: ‘He told me he was going to hike a mountain when I asked where he was going. He said he wanted to hike a lot when he was here.’
Shortly before his death he had posted a photo of the Hong Kong skyline.
