Meghan Markle “encourages” Prince Harry to destroy the Royal Family according to bombshell new allegations by a renowned monarchy expert.
Tom Quinn, who is the author of numerous books about the royals, made the claims in a new documentary about the couple which aired on Channel 5 called Harry & Meghan: Is America Turning Against Them.
It discusses the pair’s life living in Los Angeles where they rub shoulders with celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and looks at whether Americans are tiring of their antics. Markle
They started a row with the NYPD after accusing the paparazzi of dangerously chasing them through the city following an awards night, something which the police force has disputed.
And the couple became the butt of the joke in a South Park episode dedicated to their claims that they want to live a quiet life, but continue to vie for press attention.
Mr Quinn was asked his opinion on their relationship in the documentary and said: “The Royal Family will be deeply upset by the fact they have this loose cannon, someone William was [once] close to.
“The royals think Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, is out to ‘destroy’ the Firm.’ [Harry] has married this woman who seems to be encouraging him to destroy the Royal Family.”
He added that he believes the top working royals will never reply to allegations the couple make to damage them and will instead respond with non-committal answers like “recollections will vary.”
Mr Quinn’s comments were described as “startling” by another monarchy expert, Michael Cole who is a former BBC Royal correspondent.
He told GB News: “Quinn made a rather startling assertion that Meghan Markle was encouraging her husband to destroy the British monarchy.
“Well if she succeeds in that she’ll be rather more effective than George Washington and Paul Revere because they only managed to rid America of the British monarchy but they didn’t actually destroy it.
“I don’t know where Tom Quinn gets this information from but if it’s true, it is rather remarkable. And of course, she may be taking on quite a lot.
“Because the British monarchy has lasted 1000 years and it’s been through many crises. The worst crisis of the 20th century was the abdication crisis of 1936.
“And of course, in the past, the first King Charles lost his head and then we had 20 years of Oliver Cromwell, more or less a republic, a Commonwealth with the Protector.”
