A German tourist who is not identified faces having his penis amputated after a 24-hour ecstasy and Viagra sex marathon with his wife on holiday left him with septic shock.
The man, 50, is in a serious condition in hospital in Grosseto, Italy, after having sex under the influence of drugs for an estimated 24 hours.
The two allegedly had the ‘crazy’ sex session after taking MDMA at their apartment in Castel del Piano.
Local media report that following the session, the man felt seriously ill and turned up at the Misericordia hospital on May 11.
It is believed his wife accompanied him to the hospital. More than a week after his arrival, his condition has been described as ‘serious’.
He is currently in the intensive care unit and his prognosis remains confidential. The couple have not been named.
According to local media reports, the septic shock has caused necrosis of the man’s penis and scrotum.
