Rihanna has divided fans with her Met Gala fashion, as some people couldn’t help but liken the singer to whipped cream.
The 35-year-old arrived two hours later than the other celebrity guests and certainly made a statement as she stepped out wearing an all-white ensemble.
Rihanna brought some drama as she arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s wearing a Valentino dress which was covered in fake flowers.
Her gown featured a long, sweeping train and was complete with a huge hood that completely engulfed her head.
Rihanna finished off her iconic look with a pair of white sunglasses which had fake eyelashes attached.
She was accompanied by her partner A$AP Rocky who wore a white shirt, a red kilt, and a pair of baggy jeans.
While a lot of fans were loving Rihanna’s statement outfit, others weren’t convinced and took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
“Rihanna really made us wait all this time just for her to look like fancy whipped cream #MetGala,” one disappointed person wrote.
Another said: “Did they look in the mirror before they left home? Rihanna looks like she got caught in a soft serve ice cream machine, and he looks like he just grabbed stuff out of the laundry hamper on his way by.”
“Ey. Rihanna looks like an ice cream it’s giving avalanche … it’s a no from me,” a third person agreed.
However, while some people agreed that Rihanna’s outfit looked similar to whipped cream, they still thought she looked incredible.
“Not Rihanna giving whip cream vibes, she ATE THOUGHT,” one fan gushed. Another person tweeted: “Rihanna looks like whipped cream I love it.”
A third fan agreed: “Loved Rihanna whipped cream dress.”
While Rihanna initially stepped out with her hood up, she removed her headdress and allowed her gown to unravel into an even longer train as she smiled at the cameras on the famous steps.
Her figure-hugging dress featured spaghetti straps and showed off her blossoming baby bump.
