Enraged husband smashes beauty pageant winner’s crown after his wife got second place

The husband of a recent beauty pageant contestant took the ‘number-one fan’ phrase too far as he went on all-out rage after his wife was named the runner-up of the pageantry.

The incident occurred in Brazil on Saturday, May 27, during the crowning ceremony of the Miss Gay Mato Grosso 2023 pageant, leaving the audience stunned in a shocking display of violence caught on camera.

Contestants from various cities participated in the pageant where they showcased their talent, charisma, and grace in a bid to be crowned the winner.

As the tiara was about to be placed on the head of the newly crowned winner, Emannuelly Belini from Várzea Grande, the husband of 2nd place-winner Nathally Becker forcefully intervened on stage of an ‘LGBTQIAP+ beauty pageant’.

He grabbed the crown and hurled it to the stage floor, shattering it into pieces. Chaos ensued as security rushed to intervene and prevent further escalation.

The incident occurred during the crowning ceremony of the Miss Gay Mato Grosso 2023 pageant, leaving the audience stunned.

He picked up the crown again and threw it down again before trying to walk off with his wife, but he ultimately got stopped by security.

Organizers of the event released a statement after the incident, reiterating that Belini was indeed deemed the winner of this year’s event.

They also condemned the actions of Becker’s husband, adding that they will be taking appropriate legal action after the ordeal.
