Prince Albert and Princess Charlene enjoyed a glamorous night out in Florence, Italy on Wednesday, just weeks before the Monaco royal couple are expected to attend King Charles’s coronation in London on 6 May.
The Monegasque head of state, 65, and his wife, 45, celebrated the 160th anniversary of the city’s Consulate of the Principality of Monaco.
Albert and Charlene attended a fundraiser gala at Palazzo Vecchio’s Salone dei 500, where the Princess stunned in a black sequined Akris gown with semi-sheer sleeves.
Part of the evening’s proceeds will support key projects for the Andrea Bocelli Foundation (ABF) and Prince Albert II Foundation.
Earlier in the day, Albert and Charlene visited ABF’s global headquarters at Palazzo San Firenze alongside the organisation’s founder Andrea Bocelli and its Vice Chair Veronica Berti Bocelli.
ABF was established in 2011 by the famed Italian singer to empower people and communities in situations of poverty, illiteracy and distress due to illness and social exclusion.
Prince Albert married South African Olympic swimmer Charlene in July 2011, and the couple welcomed their twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, in December 2014.
Last month, the Monaco head of state spoke out to publicly deny that the couple were separating after almost 12 years of marriage.
A spokesperson from the Palace delivered a statement from Albert which read: “I would like to formally deny the malicious rumours peddled by the French magazine Royauté. Please disregard this article which is totally unfounded.”
