Betty Irabor has responded to the Nigerian pastor who said she played the fool in her marriage to keep the peace for 39 years.
A Nigerian clergywoman, Pastor Julie, has said in a viral video that her 39 years of marriage is successful, simply because she decided to play the fool.
In a bow-wow video, the clergywoman said she had to play the role of a fool in her marriage even when she was right, just to keep her marriage.
‘I have come to realsie in this 39 years of being with my husband..I realised I had to play the fool for my marriage to work, playing the fool even when I know I am right’.
‘Foolishness is relationship. For you to sustain your marriage, you have to play the fool. Playing the fool when even you know your right from your left. The man is claiming right, you are claiming right, it will not work’, she said.
Reacting, Genevieve Magazine founder, Betty Irabor said she too has been married for 39 years and playing a fool for that long to maintain the peace is unhealthy mentally, emotionally, and physically.
