Meghan Emerges After Friends Insist She Has “Moved On” From Race Row

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex has been trying to “move on” from claims of racism within the Royal Family without offering a formal apology to the institution, broadcaster Megyn Kelly raged.

The Duchess of Sussex suggested during her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 that she and Prince Harry had been asked about their son Archie’s skin colour before his birth – sparking a heated debate about allegedly racist behaviour within the institution.

Extracts from a letter Meghan sent to King Charles III following the interview showed the Duchess had brought up the issue with her father-in-law and expressed concerns about “unconscious bias” within the family.

The content of the letter reignited speculation about the claims the Sussexes’ made to Oprah, especially after the Duchess issued a personal statement rejecting suggestions that she was skipping the Coronation because her worries were not addressed.

Megyn Kelly challenged Meghan’s attempts to move on from the racism row

But Kelly hit out at the Duchess’s response to the reports, claiming the Duchess had “invented” the racism claims and was now trying to “move on” to avoid further scrutiny.

She wrote on Twitter: “M Markle now insists she has “moved on from race row w/Royal family” (Telegraph).

“She launched a totally invented claim of racism, it fell apart so dramatically Harry later claimed she never said it, and now these losers would like to “move on.” No apology/accountability. Pathetic!”

In the statement, Meghan’s spokesperson said: “The Duchess of Sussex is going about her life in the present, not thinking about correspondence from two years ago related to conversations from four years ago.

“Any suggestion otherwise is false and frankly ridiculous. We encourage tabloid media and various royal correspondents to stop the exhausting circus that they alone are creating.”
