I broke wind and my uterus came out of my vagina – it felt like I was laying an egg

Lauren, 19, who is believed to be from the US, took to social media to explain how she was left feeling like she’d laid an egg.

In the TikTok video, which racked up over 2.7million views, the teenager explained she had suffered a uterine prolapse – which is when the womb bulges out of the vagina. Sun reported.

In the clip, she said: ‘So I was 17 and I farted really loud and it suddenly felt like I had laid an egg, like I was sitting on a tennis ball in my bed, like I was lying on top of one.

‘I couldn’t get comfortable and I’m walking around and I feel like something is, like did I sh** myself? Like something is out.

‘I can’t figure out what it is and then I got to the bathroom and I look and I am like do I have a penis?’

She added: ‘Turns out my uterus fell out, which doesn’t usually happen until you’re in your mid-70s when your pelvic floor decides it has given up.

‘Turns out when you push when you poop, it weakens your pelvic floor so much that your uterus could fall out and you just have to stick it back in.

‘The pelvic floor muscles support the bowel and bladder – as well as the uterus and vagina in females.

A prolapse is not life threatening, but it can cause pain and severe discomfort.

Symptoms can usually be improved with pelvic floor exercises and lifestyle changes, but sometimes medical treatment is needed.

Uterine prolapse most often affects people after menopause or mums who’ve had one or more vaginal deliveries.

In another video Lauren cleared up some frequently asked questions by her followers. She said her prolapse was caused by ‘intestinal issues’ that she was experiencing at the time.

Lauren assured her followers that the pain was mild.

‘I’ve been in a lot of pain before and this felt like a two – it just felt like a pinch,’ she explained.

The teen is due to have surgery to ensure she doesn’t have another prolapse.

‘Just don’t strain when you poop,’ she warns.
