Bakhmut now is the most dangerous city in Ukraine. It is a city in eastern Ukraine. It serves as the administrative center of Bakhmut Raion in Donetsk Oblast.
Generally, Donetsk (and its environs) is the hottest and dangerous city in Ukraine now.
According to Oleksandr Karimov, a resident in Kyiv, Ukraine: ‘It is occupied by Russia and close to the front. You can be arrested for nothing or shot on the spot by a drunken terrorist. It’s not really ubiquitous, but the risk is substantial.’
The residents are under constant bombardment from Russian artillery.
To gain entrance into the town, you will be questioned on the occupied side for the purpose of your visit. Most likely you will be denied entry but chances are you will be accused of espionage.
Bakhmut is located on the Bakhmutka River, about 89 kilometres (55 mi) north of Donetsk, the administrative center of the oblast.
