Taylor Swift will have Arizona City temporarily renamed in her Honor as she kicks off Eras Tour

The City of Glendale will be doing ‘something highly unusual’ by temporarily changing its name in honor of Taylor Swift who will be kicking off her anticipated ‘The Eras Tour’ in Arizona at State Farm Stadium on March 17, according to NBC affiliate KPNX and Fox 10 Phoenix.

The 33-year-old Grammy winner will play in Glendale for two nights on March 17 and March 18 before heading to Las Vegas on March 24.

Glendale’s Mayor, Jerry Weiers, will be announcing the city’s new name on Monday, March 13, as the singer kicks off ‘The Eras Tour’ at the State Farm Arena.

The name change will remain in effect until March 18, per the outlets.

The mayor will also be giving scoop on go-to places for fans to continue the party after the concerts.

The statement partly read;

‘There is no need to calm down, we’re fearless and doing something highly unusual to celebrate the fact that Taylor’s concerts start right here!’

The 33-year-old Grammy winner will play in Glendale for two nights on March 17 and March 18 before heading to Las Vegas on March 24.
