The Princess of Wales brought together some of the UK’s biggest companies to create a new ‘Business Taskforce for Early Childhood.’

Kate called on firms including NatWest, Aviva, Ikea, Co-op, Lego, and Iceland to join her round-table and back her initiative, which aims to support children and their carers with attendees’ wide-ranging private sector experience.

It’s a look that means business

Today marks the first annual meeting for the task force, held at the NatWest headquarters in the City of London, and follows on from the royal’s Shaping Us campaign dedicated to highlighting the importance of those formative first years.

‘Early childhood is vital to the health of our economy and society, now and for generations to come,’ read a statement from Kensington Palace.

‘Given the key role of the business community in both the growth of our economy and in shaping our society, as well as the clear interest in developing a strong future workforce, this is an opportunity to come together to affect long-term change.’

Katherine clearly means business, and the 41-year-old dressed for the occasion in a chic white blazer.

The Princess paired the suit jacket – an Alexander McQueen number she’s worn previously – with a simple white t-shirt and slim black trousers, creating a professional monochrome ensemble.

Kate debuted the £1,490 crepe blazer on Wales’s March 2022 Caribbean Tour, although it has made a number of appearances since, including at the Commonwealth Games and the unveiling of the National Windrush Monument.

With slanted pockets to flatter the waist and strong, padded shoulders, this piece is ideal for everything from corporate meetings to a day at the races, and it’s a style the Princess has long been a fan of.

She’s also been spotted in white blazers from Zara and Reiss, although Alexander McQueen is a favourite designer.
