Backstreet Boys singer AJ McLean is reportedly separating from his wife, Rochelle DeAnna McLean, but not filing for divorce since they are only separating temporarily.
Announcing the news, the couple said in a joint statement: ‘Marriage is hard, but worth it. We have mutually decided to separate temporarily to work on ourselves, and on our marriage with the hope of building a stronger future.
‘The plan is to come back together and continue to nurture our love for one another, and our family. We ask for respect and privacy at this time.
‘Separation is hard enough without the commentary, please be kind and remember there are children involved.’
AJ and Rochelle tied the knot back in 2011 after dating for six years, saying ‘I Do’ at the Beverly Hills Hotel with the rest of his Backstreet Boys crew in attendance.
Last December, Rochelle commemorated their 11th anniversary in December 2022 with a throwback snap of them, adding lyrics from a Guns N’ Roses song called November Rain.
‘And when your fears subside/ And shadows still remain, oh yeah/ I know that you can love me when there’s no one left to blame/So never mind the darkness, we still can find a way/’Cause nothin’ last forever, even cold November rain.’
The couple share two daughters; Ava and Lyric.
