Princess Eugenie is reportedly considering following in her cousin’s footsteps and joining Meghan Markle for a new life in the US.
Prince Andrew’s youngest daughter has a long-standing friendship with the Duchess of Sussex which goes back long before Prince Harry and Meghan first met.
In the 2021 bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan said: “Eugenie and I had known each other before I had known Harry, so that was comfortable.”
She also said that her and Harry were chummy with Eugenie’s husband, Jack Brooksbank.
“We’re friends with them as a couple,” Meghan said.
It is reported that Princess Eugenie, Jack, and their son August, may well be off to the States, with the three having been spotted on extended holidays in Los Angeles recently.
Royal expert Nick Ede told the Express the potential move would be “good for the Royal Family and good for Harry and Meghan.”
Princess Eugenie’s husband Jack is a businessman closely associated with US CEO Michael Meldman, which has added fuel to the speculation.
While on Ellen DeGeneres’ late-night programme, Meghan Markle said: “He [Harry] came to see me in Toronto and our friends and his cousin Eugenie and now her husband Jack, they came as well, and the four of us snuck out in Halloween costumes to just have one fun night on the town before it was out in the world that we were a couple.”
Ede said, “Jack does really well in business and is a great guy. I think having them over there is going to be fantastic. Prince Harry is great friends with them, and Meghan is as well. I think sightings of Eugenie (in LA and Hollywood) will be great. She is also great friends with the Branson family, Holly and the father, and the whole family.”
